Commissioning Art Commissioned sketches and drawings are an excellent alternative if the price of a commissioned oil painting is prohibitive. Factors in cost include the artworks medium, size and complexity. A quote may be obtained when the commission criteria below are satisfactorily met. Before a commissioned work can begin, a 40% deposit is required. This deposit fee is standard in the world of commissioned fine art and ensures that only serious minded groups or individuals request service. The artist is deeply committed to creating art, which will greatly satisfy their prospective owners. However, if for any reason the final piece is rejected by the commissioned, the artist reserves the right to retain the deposit fee. The artist is willing to travel anywhere
for the consultation and commission of a project as long as travel expenses
are met. An oil painting medium is preferred but other mediums
are seriously considered. Working directly from a model is always best
but working from photographs is considered if they are of sufficient
size and quality. Not being a framer by trade, the artist is certainly
willing to assist all clients in their particular framing needs by offering
his advice and referrals. A number of framers are offered in the Resources portion of this site. |
